Upcoming Submissions

We will be opening for fiction submissions in January 2026 for one month. While this submission period is open to any LGBTQIA+ authors, we will be prioritizing the work of BIPOC authors and creators in this round.

General Submission Guidance

Please note:

– Antithesis Press focuses on celebrating whole trans/queer lives through books that include elements of joy, love, and humor.
– We are open to considering proposals that mix, blend, and/or bend traditional genres.

Fiction Submissions

Novels, novellas, and short story collections.

Please send:

– A query letter (one page or less)
– A short synopsis (one page or less)
– The first three chapters or 20 pages, whichever is longer

Non-Fiction Submissions

Memoirs, biographies, narrative histories, and personal essay collections.

Please send:

– A proposal (two pages or less) which should include a short synopsis or plan
– The first three chapters or 20 pages, whichever is longer

Art and Photography Book Submissions

Lookbooks, monographs, and picture books for grown-ups.

Please send:

– A proposal (two pages or less) which should include a short synopsis or plan
– Digital portfolio (link or file)

We endeavor to reply to all submissions. However, we are a small thing and reading submissions takes time. Please do not email us to ask the status of your submission (although you can email to check that we received it!). We will contact you when we have made a decision.

Submissions received when submissions are closed will be discarded without reply.
